It was all smiles for Ashley Raney and an enthusiastic group of University of Louisville nursing students who recently hosted an oral health care event at Wayside Christian Mission’s Hotel Louisville.  Nearly 75% of Americans suffer from some sort of periodontal disease of which they are unaware.  In some cases, untreated oral health problems can lead to life-threatening issues such as cancer and heart disease.  For that matter, over 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with oral cancer each year.  The reason for all this is simple: 50% of Americans do not receive regular oral health care.  Most of these woes could be eliminated by routine dental visits.  Many of our resident clients have oral health issues, so the oral health care event sponsored by these University of Louisville nursing students was timely and informative.  The nursing student did a great job of keeping it fun, too!  Thanks, students, for giving us something to smile about!

"I recently stayed at Hotel Louisville and was very impressed. The first thing I noticed was ample, convenient parking. Then, upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly, helpful staff. It was refreshing to see such efficient, pleasant workers. My room was very clean and restful. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones that I have ever slept on in a hotel. The food was delicious. As a matter of fact, it was so good that I ate all my meals there during my 5-day stay in Louisville. The prices were very reasonable—a real bargain! I have already recommended Hotel Louisville to several of my friends, and I will definitely stay there again when my travels take me back there. " Lisa B Tulsa OK
